Wesley Cornwell is the Managing Shareholder of Amicus Law, PC, a Las Vegas law firm serving individuals, families, and businesses throughout Nevada. A proud Las Vegas native, attorney Wesley Cornwell is known for providing strategic legal counsel, strong courtroom advocacy, and practical solutions in complex legal matters. His experience spans criminal defense, family law, business law, employment law, insurance disputes, and civil litigation.


Wesley earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) while working full time and attending school full time. He later earned his Juris Doctor from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, continuing to work throughout law school, including as a Boston-based flight attendant.


During law school, Wesley served as a Certified Student Attorney and Marshall-Brennan Fellow, gaining hands-on courtroom experience and representing clients in criminal defense matters. These early experiences helped develop the litigation and advocacy skills that continue to benefit his clients today.


Following graduation, Wesley built a diverse legal practice focused on civil litigation, insurance defense, construction defect litigation, and criminal defense. Over the course of his career, he has represented hundreds of clients in a wide range of legal matters, including criminal cases, family law disputes, business litigation, employment law claims, contract disputes, and insurance-related matters. His broad legal background allows him to develop comprehensive strategies tailored to each client's unique circumstances.


In addition to his legal practice, Wesley serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law and is the CEO of Amicus Academy, a legal education and professional development company. His commitment to education reflects his passion for mentoring future legal professionals while staying at the forefront of legal developments and industry best practices.


Wesley's professional experience extends beyond the courtroom. His background includes business formation and development, real estate, aviation, and nonprofit leadership. This diverse experience gives him valuable insight into the challenges faced by business owners, entrepreneurs, professionals, and individuals navigating significant life events.


As a Qualified Neutral and Rule 114 Mediator, Wesley also helps parties resolve disputes through mediation and alternative dispute resolution. He is dedicated to helping clients find practical, cost-effective solutions while protecting their interests and pursuing favorable outcomes.
